Roasted brussel sprouts

Ingredients

  • Brussel sprouts

  • Olive oil

  • Kosher salt

Directions

Bring a pot of water to boil, and set your oven to 425 degrees. Trim the ends off of your brussel sprouts, and toss them in the boiling water. Parboil them (~5 mins). Allow them to cool, dry them off, and slice them in half lengthwise. Toss them in a bit of oil and salt. Place them on a baking sheet, cut side down and smash each with whatever tool will do the trick (bottom of a mug, back of a wooden spoon, etc.). Bake in the oven for 30 mins, or until they begin to get a nice crisp on them.
