1 cup whole milk
1 cup plain flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tbsp ras el hanout
Salt and pepper
Combine wet ingredients in one bowl, and dry ingredients in another. Add vegetable oil to a saucepan (at least 2"). Once the oil is about 180 degrees celsius, dredge your bite-sized pieces of seitan in the milk and then the flour mixture, knocking off any excess before dropping it in the hot oil. Fry for 2-4 minutes or until golden brown, and let dry out on a paper towel.
